Our highlight event on the evening of the 13th will be the UK Premiere screening of:
plus a Q&A with actors Ferdia Walsh-Peelo and Mark McKenna
Directed by John Carney (Once, Begin Again), this Sundance favourite and music lover's dream stars Aidan Gillan (Game of Thrones, Love/Hate), Jack Raynor (Transformers, What Richard Did) and Maria Doyle Kennedy (Downton Abbey, The Commitments). It tells the story of a young boy growing up in Dublin during the 1980s who escapes his strained family life by starting a band and moving to London.
"Sing Street is every bit as heart-warming and adorable as it is rapturously fun, an Irish rock-n-roll romance with a killer ‘80s soundtrack and an addictive collection of original songs." - Erin Whitney, Screencrush.com. Read more here.
